Q: I have never played music or written songs before, will I be able to do this?
A: Absolutely, all of our faculty members go to great lengths to teach to who is in front of them. Everyone we bring to teach at the Universe of Song has the gift of being able to teach to multiple skill levels all at one time
Q: I play guitar. Should I bring it?
A: If you play a portable instrument, please feel free to bring it. Although this is not required, you are likely to enjoy using the instrument in your compositions or on the open stage. We encourage instruments if you want to bring them.
Q: Do I have to perform or sing in front of other people?
A: Absolutely not. Although these opportunities will be provided, performing and singing are not required. Everyone need only do what they feel comfortable doing. EnjoyÉ
Q: Is the food ok? What about the water?
A: Food is actually quite good. And we take breaks for three meals a day. Water is OK. If you don't like treated water, you may want to bring bottled water.
Q:Where can I get supplies if needed?
A: Town (Ebensburg, PA) with major stores (i.e. Walmart etc) is about 15 minutes drive away. There is also a small grocery store in Loretto.
Q: I am under 18. Can I still sign up?
A: The programs are geared towards adults over 18. Sometimes exceptions are made under certain circumstances. Please call the Office of Education at 814-472-3012 for more info.
Q: What credit cards do you accept?
A: Visa, Mastercard, Discover
Q: Can I attend less than the full four days?
A: We encouage all participants to participate in all four days of the event to provide a sense of continuity and community between everyone. Sometimes exceptions are made under certain circumstances. Please call or email the Office of Continuing Education at Saint Francis University 814-472-3012 for more info.
